For some added story context:
Hilda and Rosa teamed together in the Battle Subway but felt they couldn’t do very well since they were under levelled and didn’t have good moves or held items. To solve this, they found out about this lovely system and joined it to make huge amounts of BP! During this time, they developed a following among some clients who would do the same things each time to them, which they got a little bored of, so today Hilda decided to tell Rosa to put on her bottom clothes and to give Hilda hers, to trick the usual clients, making it more exciting for the two of them. However, of course it went further when it so happened that Nate and Hilbert discovered their occupation, but didn’t know about the swap themselves, leading to the events depicted.

There’s a lot in this one I like and I think I did a good job on it. I liked the idea I had a lot, and I wanted to see it in action. With that out of the way, onto to proper analysis.

This was a very tough one, a lot of interacting parts and some more stiff than I’d have liked. I didn’t plan this one out totally from the start and had doubts where I would scrap a lot of work many times flipping back and forth on what I would do in the end. A lot of the time spent on it was simply fixing mistakes or redoing entire sections that were already done to a decent level.
With so many interacting parts and components (you’ll note there are a total of 8 heads in this one drawing with a lot of text parts and two sets of bodies interacting with each other… it’s a lot to fit all together whilst still keeping in mind some design principles (I basically threw these away in favor of just fitting everything in where space allowed it to fit). Perhaps I learned quite a bit from this one, it all goes towards learning and I’m glad I did it, but with all of these technical parts I think that things can become quite sterile and boring. I think I learned that I’m using far too many layers (there were far over 200 in this) and not just being okay with some of the not-quite-right but more natural free flowing drawings that don’t get scrutinized into non existence.

In essence, I think I did a lot of work on this one that people probably won’t care about, I didn’t focus on those important parts.

You can’t do everything all at once when you’re still learning, it’s too much to handle. With this in mind, I’m planning to do some more simpler drawings and focus on improving the quality on far relatively less complex drawings. Working closer to what I already know will help me focus on improving quality rather than doing some more of these projects that are still a bit too far out of my scope I feel… though perhaps this does depend on reception. Regardless, I’ll keep doing my best to improve and put out content.
